Drobná dáma, v jejíchž rukou se cello mění v bojový nástroj, před jehož účinkem bledne i hlasitá elektrická kytara. Návštěvníci koncertů Mono, Russian Circles a naposled Earth si možná Helen Money vybaví v roli předskokana. Alison Chesley – neboli Helen Money – vydává letos na Thrill Jockey novou desku Atomic a 5. května vystoupí v Kaštanu, kde ji doprovodí Sanford Parker (respektovaný producent, jehož stopu můžete najít na deskách Corrections House, Minsk, Wreckmeister Harmonies, Twilight nebo Nachtmystium). Parker zahájí večer sólovým setem, později se připojí i k Helen Money. Alison natočila od roku 2007 pět sólových alb: na předposledním „Become Zero,“ hostuje třeba Jason Roeder z Neurosis. Na novince „Atomic“ (Thrill Jockey) zachycuje Alison zásadní životní zlom v rodině: „After my parents passed away, we had to find new ways to be - with ourselves and each other. The whole process brought us closer together, strengthening the bonds between the three of us; between us and our friends; between us and my extended family. My sister and brother and I would often get together at my brother’s house in the Redwoods of Northern California. Being there with them, looking up at these giant trees that were there long before we were, looking up at the Milky Way, looking out at the Pacific Ocean - it just gave me a sense of perspective and how connected we all are to everything.“
